Complaint regarding lack of architectural and information and communication accessibility
If architectural or information and communication accessibility is not ensured, you have the right to submit a request to ensure accessibility, and subsequently to file a complaint with the President of the Management Board of PFRON.
Procedure:
- Submitting a request to the institution: A request to ensure accessibility should be submitted directly to us. We are obliged to fulfil the request without undue delay, no later than within 14 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, we will inform you of a new deadline (no longer than 2 months).
- Right to lodge a complaint: If accessibility is not ensured within the specified timeframe or if a refusal notice is issued, you may file a complaint regarding the lack of accessibility.
- Complaint to PFRON: The complaint should be submitted to the President of the Management Board of the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities within 30 days from the date of receiving the refusal notice or from the ineffective expiry of the deadline for handling the request.

Architectural accessibility

Convenient access to the Institute’s headquarters
- Metro line M2 to Młynów station, 650 m walking distance east along Górczewska Street,
- Bus lines 136, 171, 190 to Płocka-Szpital stop, approx. 300 m walking distance east along Górczewska Street,
- Bus lines 103 and 106 to Płocka-Szpital stop (on Płocka Street), approx. 400 m eastbound,
- Tram lines 20, 23, 24, 28 to Młynarska stop, approx. 300 m westbound.
Parking
- We have a designated parking space for persons with disabilities located directly in front of the main entrance to staircase B of the IBE PIB building. Remember to take your disability parking card and display it on the windshield.
- Parking within IBE PIB’s premises is free of charge.
- Parking spaces are located in the courtyard and at the rear of the building.
- You can enter the Institute’s premises through a gate on Tyszkiewicza Street. The gate opens automatically after contacting the receptionist via the intercom located next to the gate. You may also call the receptionist at +48 22 24 17 100 to request the gate to be opened.
- Additionally, two spaces marked with an “envelope” are available on Tyszkiewicza Street before arriving to the entrance gate. All parking spaces outside the Institute’s premises are in the paid parking zone.
Assistance dog
- You may bring an assistance or guide dog. Remember to bring the dog’s assistance certificate and vaccination record.
- Water is available for your dog.
Building entrance
- The main entrance to the building is reached through a gate next to the building on Górczewska Street. An intercom is located at a height of 130 cm next to the gate.
- A wide path leads straight from the gate to the building’s entrance through Stairwell B.
- The building entrance is approximately 40 m from the gate in a straight line.
- The entrance door is accessed by a low ramp to the left of the door and a single step to the right and in front of the door. A handrail is provided along the ramp.
- To the left of the door is a second intercom at a height of 150 cm. Press number 1 to call the receptionist (ext. 1) to gain entry. If needed, ask the receptionist to help you operate the platform lift located behind the entrance door.
- Opening the door requires force.
- The door is transparent and has no contrasting marks.
- The entrance door is opened manually.
- The door is opened outwards.
Entrance hallway
- Immediately upon entering, there are stairs on the left leading up to the ground floor and on the right leading down to the basement rooms.
- A platform lift to the left of the stairs leading up to the ground floor is available. The receptionist will assist in operating the lift.
- A handrail is located on the right side of the stairs.
- After leaving the staircase, you enter the main hall with the reception desk directly ahead.
- To the right of the reception area is an alcove with restrooms. The middle door leads to an accessible toilet for people with disabilities.
- The service point is located straight ahead as you enter the reception area, approximately 3 meters away.
- The building does not have elevators; a stair climber can be provided.
- The space is generally quiet and calm.
- The room is well lit.
- The service point is equipped with an induction loop.
- The counter height can be adjusted for a person in a wheelchair.
Horizontal routes
- Rooms are located on three floors.
- Some corridors are not wheelchair accessible.
Vertical routes
- Other floors can be accessed by stairs
Lavatories
- A toilet adapted for persons with disabilities is available in the building.
- An accessible lavatory is located on the ground floor to the right of the reception desk in the alcove.
- The lavatory door opens outwards.
- The door easily remains in the open position.
- The width of the open door is 90 centimeters.
- Grab bars are installed on the walls.
- Handholds are on both sides of the toilet.
- Accessible lavatories are also available on the 1st and 2nd floors of Stairwell B
